12th annual Parkdale Film + Video Showcase

12th Annual Parkdale Showcase: June 25-27, 2010

The Parkdale Beauty Pageant Society seeks new, vintage or under-appreciated short films, videos and media installations made by artists living and/or working in Parkdale for the 12^th Annual Parkdale Film + Video Showcase. Artist fees paid, short works preferred.

Programming for the 12^th Annual Parkdale Film + Video Showcase includes:

*REside: indoor + outdoor media art installations on Queen West and in Gallery 1313

*REwind: workshop + home movie screenings at the Parkdale Library

*REvisit: evening screenings at the historic Revue Cinema

Plus! Outdoor under the stars family screenings in the Fuller Avenue Parkette

Work can be submitted to the drop-off box at Gallery 1313, located in the heart of Parkdale at 1313 Queen Street West (between Dufferin and Lansdowne).

Submissions should include a VHS preview tape or DVD and a completed submission form.

If you are unable to access the online form, include the following with your VHS/DVD preview:

• contact info (telephone, address, email)
• brief artist bio
• a short synopsis
• project completion date
• running time
• production and screening format (16mm, 8mm, Beta SP, VHS, DVD)

For installation submissions, please include:

• contact info (telephone, address,
email)
• brief artist bio
• a detailed description of the work, with installation plans and equipment needed
• 5-10 jpgs of the proposed
or completed work accompanied by a slide list
